Scouts retire flag at Cañon Lodge Care Center

Scouts retiring the flag

On May 3, 2018, Cañon Lodge Care Center in Cañon City, Colorado, was honored to have the Fremont County Extensions of the Scouts and Cub Scouts to the facility to perform a flag retirement ceremony.

Seven residents, including five veterans, got to witness the ceremony. The veterans were presented with grommets of other honorably retired flags as an appreciation for their service. The seven Scouts who attended retired three flags that day, one from Cañon Lodge and two from other locations...

Mobile dental clinic visits Cañon Lodge Care Center

On Dec. 14, 2017, residents at Cañon Lodge Care Center in Cañon City, Colorado, had the chance to get some dental work done on site.

Colorado Mobile Dental brought a full-service mobile dentist trailer to the facility, set up like a dentist office, complete with two dental chairs and a fireplace!

On Aug. 27, Cañon Lodge Care Center in Cañon City, Colorado, hosted a law enforcement appreciation event for local law enforcement personnel.

Kelsey Rottier, dietary manager, and Heather Cathcart, director of nursing, put their heads together and organized this event with the help of other associates.
